UPDATE: Tree removals, pruning at various parks, facilities postponed

UPDATE, Oct 3.: Auburn Parks and Recreation has postponed the tree removal and pruning work originally scheduled for Monday, Oct. 6 at several parks and facilities. At this time, no new start date has been set.

AUBURN, Ala.- Auburn Parks and Recreation will remove and prune trees at several parks and facilities on Monday, Oct. 6, as part of on going maintenance.

Work will include:

  • Dinuis Park - removal of three trees.
  • McTeer Park - removal of one tree.
  • Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center - removal of one tree.
  • Ann Pearson Park - removal of 6 trees and standard pruning.

All locations will remain open to the public during the scheduled work. Visitors are advised to exercise caution, remain alert to posted signage and avoid active work areas. Work is scheduled to begin on Oct. 6, but the duration may be extended due to weather conditions or unforeseen delays.
